The YKK coil zipper size 5 is a medium-strength zipper that is relatively fine from a military perspective, yet still offers reliable stability for many projects. The zipper tape is impregnated, providing additional protection against moisture and dirt.

It is ideal for sleeping bags, pockets on jackets or pants, and other applications where a narrow zipper is required. Thanks to its narrower chain, the zipper is less bulky and still easy to handle.

Sold by the meter, the coil zipper can be cut to any desired length, and the sliders must be ordered separately. Various designs are available—non-lock, with auto-lock, or reverse—to suit the respective chain size.
